1. Drivers must be at least 21 years old and over. Strictly registered driver to the rental is the only permitted driver the rental. 

 

2. A valid Samoan full license or an endorsed overseas driver's license (which we can issue only to full license holders) is required. The cost for issuing this license is WST$21.00 and it is valid for 1 month.

 

3. Drivers with overseas restricted or learner licenses are not permitted to drive in Samoa.

 

4. To secure and confirm all bookings, we require either full credit card details or a cash deposit of WST$400.00

 

5. Bond of WST$200 with passport or WST$500 without passport is required at the start of the hire, either in cash or as a credit card slip. Without a bond, we can hold onto your passport until car is returned.

 

6. Rental payments can be made by credit card (with a 3.5% surcharge), traveller’s checks, or cash at the start of the hire. During peak seasons (July to October and Christmas), a 50% deposit of the total rental cost is required. The remaining balance is due at the start of the hire. Prepayment is highly recommended during peak seasons.

 

7. The vehicle will be provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank at the renter’s expense.

 

8. A 50% penalty fee will be charged for returning the vehicle before the agreed return date and any rental extension request not made within a 48 hour notice.

 

9. Cancellations made within 7 days of the hire start date will not receive a refund. Cancellations made 14 days or more before the hire start date will incur a 50% cancellation fee. No-shows will not receive a refund. Exceptions may be granted at the vehicle owner’s discretion.

 

10. A WST$50.00 charge will apply for returning the vehicle dirty. Higher charges will be applied if the vehicle is returned in an extremely dirty or unpleasant condition.

 

11. The vehicle will be in good mechanical and physical condition unless otherwise specified. The customer must return the vehicle with all tires, tools, accessories, and equipment in the same condition as received.

 

12. The vehicle must not be used or operated: by anyone under 21 years of age, by anyone not registered in the contract, in violation of the law, under the influence of intoxicants or narcotics, for transporting persons or property for hire, to tow or carry excessive loads, in races or speed tests, in contests, in a negligent or reckless manner causing unreasonable wear and tear, for illegal purposes, or to intentionally damage the vehicle.

 

13. The owner is not liable for any loss or damage to property left, stored, or transported in the vehicle, either before or after its return.

 

14. In the event of an accident or damage to the vehicle, the customer must report it to the police immediately at (685) 22222 and notify the owner. The customer is responsible for all repair costs.

 

15. Rentals are based on a 24-hour period. Additional hours are charged at WST$30 per hour for sedans and similar compact vehicles, WST$40 per hour for medium to large SUVs, vans (6-16seaters), and trucks.

 

16. The customer is not considered an agent, servant, or employee of the owner under any circumstances.

 

17. The customer assumes all risks and expenses when driving on private or unpaved roads.

 

18. The customer is responsible for any fines or legal costs related to parking, traffic violations, and repairs or replacements for windscreen, stereo, and tire damages. Loss of income while the vehicle is being repaired is 100 tala per day for small vehicles, 140 tala per day for medium-sized vehicles, and 200 tala per day for larger vehicles.

 

19. The owner reserves the right to terminate the hire and reclaim the vehicle immediately if the customer fails to comply with any terms of this agreement or if the vehicle is damaged.

 

20. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all vehicles.

 

21. Additional fees may apply to payments due to currency conversion – To be PAID in person.
